Mission & Vision
We are a collective of the province’s specialty hospitals providing mental health care. Together, we are providing leadership in building a system that is integrated, evidence-based and accountable. We do this by mobilizing our collective strengths in innovation, infrastructure, clinical interventions, research and education so Ontarians with the most severe and persistent mental health and substance use conditions can have better outcomes.
Our vision is to enable the creation of a comprehensive, connected mental health system so that every Ontarian has equitable access to evidence-based, high-quality mental health care.
Values
Equitable Access
We promote barrier-free access to mental health services for every Ontarian.
System Building
We are committed to building a better, more connected, sustainable mental health system in Ontario together with our hospital, community and government partners.
Co-Creating Solutions
We prioritize co-designing services with people with living/ed experience of mental illness and their support circles to develop solutions that meet their unique needs. Equally, we promote public policy co-design to ensure the development of effective mental health services.
Accountability
We measure how well we are achieving our objectives, and communicate our progress to our stakeholders, including the people we directly serve, other hospital and community partners and government.
Service Excellence
We are committed to ensuring high-quality, standardized mental health services for Ontarians that are evidence based and measurable.
Our strategic plan sets our priorities for the next three years. It will enable us to continue to offer our collective support and specialized clinical and innovation expertise and infrastructure to support the Government of Ontario, Ontario Health and the Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence in building a comprehensive mental health and substance use system of care for people across the province.
